Wheatstone housing issues resolved

The Shire of Ashburton has revolved issues with BHP Billition and Chevron relating to the housing of workers on the Wheatstone gas project. Some workers will be housed at the Wheatstone site while others will be housed in Onslow.

Chevron secures agreement on Wheatstone native title

Chevron as signed a native title heads of agreement with the Thalanyji people for land needed to develop the Wheatstone project in Western Australia. The agreement covers a 500-hectare site 12 kms south of Onslow. As many as 5 LNG trains are to be constructed at the Wheatstone site with a total capacity of 25 million tonnes/year.
