The $30 billion Wheatstone gas project has been approved by the government of Western Australia. Approval for the Wheatstone gas project was obtained following consultation with the ministers for State Development, Lands, Planning and Indigenous Affairs. The construction workforce for Wheatstone is expected to reach 3,000 people at its peak.
